A highlight of Homecoming weekend is the opportunity to honor alumni through a variety of awards. Recognizing distinguished professional achievement, service to others and service to the university, alumni honors have a long tradition at York. Do you know someone who should be honored? All former York students may nominate others for recognition. Nominations are welcome and appreciated.
We invite nominations at this time for the 2026 Alumni of the Year, Young Alumni of the Year, Athletic Hall of Fame and Performing Arts Hall of Fame awards. The Alumni of the Year award has been presented annually since 1974, with the Young Alumni award being added in 2009. Both the athletic and performing arts halls of fame recognize accomplishments as a student as well as activities since student days.
The Alumni of the Year and Young Alumni of the Year awards will be presented during Homecoming Chapel on Saturday, October 24. The Athletic Hall of Fame and the Performing Arts Hall of Fame awards are presented at separate ceremonies during the weekend, with times and locations to be announced.
