York College is pleased to announce that Dr. Josephine Schamp will join the division of science and mathematics this fall as an assistant professor of chemistry.
Schamp comes to York from the University of Iowa where she has been doing postdoctoral research
since 2017 in psychiatry and neurology.
Schamp completed her doctoral studies in Medicinal & Natural Products Chemistry at the University of Iowa in 2017. Her thesis was titled Toxic Dopamine Metabolites, Oxidative Stress, and Antioxidants as Contributors to Neurodegeneration, Specifically Parkinson’s Disease. She also completed a MS at the University in translational biomedicine in 2019.
