York College announces the 2nd Annual York College Cultivate: STAR Experience to be held on the York College Campus in York, NE. This event will give your students a chance to practice their STAR Events WHILE getting instant feedback from industry professionals, as well as York College professors and students.
Chapters are limited to one team per team event and two individuals per individual event (4 students in job interview). Registration costs include lunch on Campus. We do ask that you arrive early enough to have your check-in completed by 8:20 a.m. We will be starting competition at 8:30 a.m. Sharp! Late registration available for those traveling a distance.
Presentation rounds A and B will be practice/learning rounds, with immediate feedback from York College Professors and students. Round A and B of Parliamentary Procedure will serve as a teaching/practice round. Presentation rounds will be the competition, with written critique and judging from industry representatives. Critiques will be mailed to the schools, following the event. Awards will be given to the top 6 individuals & top 4 teams.
Registration cost of $10/ student, includes lunch in the York College Dining Hall. Registration deadline for the event is to Monday, Jan. 15. No late registrations will be accepted. Registrations are non-refundable.
All changes to registration, including student names, must be made by the end of the day, Wednesday, January 26.
