Scholarships

A scholarship is a financial aid award that does not need to be repaid. Scholarships are a form of merit-based aid, meaning they are offered based on achievement in specific areas. York College offers scholarships in academics, athletics and performing arts.

  • Academic Scholarships
    • Awarded based on ACT/SAT scores or cumulative GPA. Transfer Academic Scholarships will be awarded based on cumulative college GPA. A minimum GPA requirement must be met in order to renew Academic Scholarships each year.
    Note: Academic Scholarships apply to new students that enter York College during 2020-2021.  
SAT Reading & Math scores will be converted to ACT Composite score. ​​

Need Based Aid
To be eligible for a York College Need Based Aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Need Based Application. Student's financial need, as determined by the FAFSA and Need Based Application, is considered in awarding these scholarships. The scholarship priority deadline is June 1.
