RoundUp is a weeklong retreat for those (approximately) 55 and up. It’s Bible camp and a mini-term as a YC student rolled into one. We’ll have Bible classes, devotionals, and activities, as well as classes in history, literature, creative writing, and music—but no tests or term papers!
Call up your best friends and invite them to join you on campus or come on your own and make a slew of new friends. It's a welcoming and fun week where you'll enjoy a field trip, theme dinner (costumes optional), and talent show. You won't want to miss it!
For alumni, RoundUp is a chance to have a Super Reunion! Gather your classmates and relive the York experience. You'll feel the years roll back as you move into the dorms with your friends, eat in the cafeteria, and go to classes taught by YC faculty members. It's a great time to reconnect on the York College campus, without all the busyness of Homecoming. You'll enjoy moonlit strolls across campus and not have to worry about curfew.
2020 will be a big year for RoundUp! Historian Dr. Tim McNeese will be teaching on "The Life of Lincoln" and Christian apologetics presenter John Clatyon will teach a Bible class, exploring issues of faith and science. There will also be other classes, activities, and a day long field trip to local attractions.
RoundUp Optional Week 2: Travel
To go along with our Life of Lincoln theme, Dr. McNeese will lead a one week travel trip to visit Springfield, Illinois, to walk where Lincoln walked. More info coming soon!
The cost for RoundUp 2020 is $275/person or $550/couple. This cost includes all meals (and lots of snacks!), activities, housing, class materials, and transportation and admission for field trip attractions.
The cost for the additional week of travel for the Life of Lincoln trip is $900 per person.
We want to see you there!
