Here's a list of things to-do and contacts for you as your student prepares for York College. If you need assistance, call your student's admissions counselor or the admissions office at 402-363-5627.
Financial Aid – If not yet done, complete your student's FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov. York's school code is 002567. A completed FAFSA is required before your student can receive any financial aid. Need assistance? Call 402-363-5625/5624 or email email@example.com.
Student Accounts – When you receive your financial aid award packet, review your options and complete the required forms. Select a payment plan option and return your signed paperwork by August 1 . Need assistance? Contact Barbara Thompson at 402-363-5711.
Housing and Dining
Housing Forms and Room Deposit: After your student submits a housing reservation form, a housing packet will be sent containing information about housing, dining and more. If your student still needs to take care of this: Submit the housing form and $100 housing deposit online or mail to 1125 E 8th St, York, NE 68467. Need assistance? New student check-in is Saturday, August 19, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Mackey Center. Students will check-in and receive a completed Registration Card. The Registration Card is their ticket to move into their residence hall.
***If your student is an athlete on one of our fall sports teams (includes volleyball, soccer, and cross country), they will check in on August 11 at 10 a.m. in Middlebrook***
Campus Dining: The Cafeteria will open for regular service on Wednesday, August 23. Meals during orientation are tied to new student activities.
Registering for Classes – After your student has received an acceptance notice from admissions, they may register for classes. Contact your admissions counselor at 402-363-5627 to make further arrangements.
Textbooks – Textbooks will be provided for all students as part of the tuition package. Textbooks will be picked up at the campus bookstore during new student orientation.
School Supplies – A personal laptop or computer is highly recommended for your student to complete homework and other assignments. Other school supplies that may be needed include notebooks, pens, pencils, stapler, backpack, calculator, jump drives, etc.

If your student is an athlete participating in a fall sport (includes volleyball, soccer, and cross country), they will check in between 10 a.m. and noon on Friday, August 11 in Middlebrook Hall.
