New Student Information
Congratulations! You applied, you were accepted, and now you're a York College student!
But while your admissions process to York College is complete, there are still a few things that need to happen before you begin in the fall.
Below you'll find some important information about what to expect this summer and how to get ready for the fall. Also, make sure to look through the links in the menu to the left for further information. If you don't see what you need, let us know by calling the admissions office at 402-363-5627.
When will I see my financial award letter and payment options?
We begin sending out financial award letters in June. The enclosed worksheets will include your costs, applied scholarships, grants, loans, and information about payment plan options. If there's something missing, don't worry, these can still be changed. Just let us know!

What about housing? Will I find out who my roommate is soon?
General information about housing and moving to campus will be sent to you by mail from the Department of Residence Life. Roommate and individual housing information will be communicated via email by Director of Residence Life and Housing, Collin Tucker. If you haven't done so already, make sure to pay your $100 enrollment deposit and complete the housing form. You will need your YC student ID number to complete these forms. Move-In dates for new students and fall student athletes can be found in the "Important Dates" section above. What is Genesis?
Genesis is what we call our new student orientation held at the beginning of the Fall Semester. More information will be communicated via email by the Director of Student Activities, Jolene Herzog.
I know what classes I'm taking...but how do I get my books?
The cost of books are included in the cost of attending York College. When you arrive on campus in the fall, you'll give the Campus Bookstore a copy of your schedule and they will supply you with books. If you still need to register for classes or would like to make a change to your fall schedule, please contact your admissions counselor and they will connect you to your adviser.
