Alumni, friends, and university employees put in two days of sweat, labor and service to beautify the campus in anticipation of a new academic year. This annual event brought more than 40 volunteers to campus last week, including alumni, faculty and staff, to pull weeds, spread mulch, trim bushes, stripe parking lots, and more. Alumni & Friends Work Days is organized by Scott '79 and Lisa (Hinrichs '81) Eckman, as well as Justin ‘95 and Becki (North ‘97) Milliken. The work days crew tackled small and large projects to improve the physical appearance of campus before students return for the fall semester.

Volunteers came from Texas, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho and more to be a part of this year’s crew and were provided free housing and meals for their services. Thank you to all who gave their time and effort to this worthwhile project. Your mark on the York University landscape is priceless!
