York College students are preparing for the annual cultural geography fair, to be held November 30. All York-area elementary school students are invited to participate in this free, fun, educational event from 8:30-9:45 a.m. in the Campbell Activity Center.

College students will be presenting information on a variety of countries. Presentations may include food, games, music, activities, and other fun items on display.

"The geography fair is one of the highlights of our year," says Christi Lones, assistant professor of history, who organizes the event. "The research and preparation by our students is an exciting process to watch."

"We would love to see a big turnout of kids from all of our area schools and learning environments. It's going to be a fun and educational time for kids," said Lones.

There is no cost to attend the geography fair, but Lones would like a headcount to make sure there are enough materials for all attendees. Please RSVP to Lones with the total number in your group by Tuesday, November 27 if you plan to attend. You can contact Lones at clones@york.edu or 402-363-5680. Please be sure to note the age group and how many students you will have in your group.
