The poetry, prose, and graphic arts of 19 York College contributors are featured in the most recent issue of Unvarnished Words, the student literary magazine, released last week.

The publication is the work of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, under the guidance of the English department faculty, Beverly McNeese and Jennifer Dutch.

A student editing team collected works from among classmates, compiled the content and completed the layout of the publication. More than a vehicle for arts on campus, the publication is a real world opportunity for students to practice workplace skills that they may employ in the print industry.

Morgan DeBoer, Ashlee Ivey, and Amanda Diedrich served as student editors for the recent issue of Unvarnished Words with help from Quentin Becker. Other contributors to the project include Danielle Berry, Sami Berry, Alex Boss, William Fox, Tyler Goodwin, Abigail Gonzalez, Brinna Horvath, Alberto Jaramillo, Jessica Lewis, Natalie Ostrander, Grant Seufferlein, Renee Wubbenhorst, Ariel Warrior, and Cheryl Ratliff. Faculty member Gail Miller's photography is also featured in the publication.
