York College senior Dani Palensky will present a concert of classical and jazz music
at her senior recital Saturday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the York College Prayer
Chapel.
The concert will feature modern selections as well as significant music from the past. Palensky will perform in four languages and numerous styles, with pieces by Mozart, Shubert, Debussy, Whitacre and others.
Kay Magner will accompany her on the piano. Additional instrumentalists will include Dr. Clark Roush on trap set, Dr. Jaclyn Spivey on violin, Tim Spivey on guitar, and Morgan Cowell on jazz piano.

Palensky has performed with the York College Concert Choir and Celebration Singers
for several years. This spring, she will repeat her role as hostess for the all school
musical production Songfest. She is a vocal music performance major from York and
Syracuse, Nebraska. Palensky will graduate from York College this May and is planning
to attend graduate school to pursue vocal jazz performance and pedagogy.
Palensky’s performance is free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations are necessary.
