#GivingTuesday was a success once again this year as alumni and friends rallied around York College, providing $25,124 for students. The goal for the one-day event was $20,000 for scholarships for deserving YC students.

Piggy-backing on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is a national movement to do good by giving to non-profits during a season often associated with consumerism.

“We were overwhelmed by the love and support our alumni and friends showed to our students through their gifts," said Brent Magner, vice president for advancement. "It is heartwarming to know that so many people believe in the mission of York College and care about helping us to transform lives through Christ-centered education.”

While #GivingTuesday has come and gone, the need for scholarships continues. You can make a gift at www.york.edu/give or by contacting the advancement office.
