![]() The Clayton Museum of Ancient History in York will host Dr. Frank Wheeler, for the annual Archaeology and the Bible speaker series event, on September 25. Wheeler is a professor of biblical studies at York College. He has participated in a number of archaeological digs and led educational trips in the Holy Lands. The program will be held in the Miller Room of the Mackey Center on the York College campus from 7 to 9 p.m. No tickets or reservations are necessary to attend this free event open to the public. About the SpeakerFrank Wheeler is a native Nebraskan. He holds degrees from York College, Harding University, Harding Graduate School of Religion, and Baylor University. He has served as a minister for churches in Minnesota, Texas, and Nebraska. Prior to teaching at York College, Wheeler was a campus minister at Eastern New Mexico University. Wheeler's current position is Professor of Biblical Studies and chair of the Bible department at York College. He has been at York College since 1988. Wheeler regularly participates in archaeological digs in Israel. He has worked with the University of Nebraska at Omaha at Bethsaida, Israel, and now works each summer (since 2004) with the University of Tel Aviv, Israel, at Tel Beth Shemesh. About the Clayton MuseumSince its completion in 2015, the Clayton Museum of Ancient History on the York College campus has had thousands of visitors from across the state and nation. Featuring a rotating display of ancient artifacts and a children’s interactive learning area, the museum is a benefit to campus and community patrons of all ages.
