baseball bat signed by George Brett, a ball signed by Buster Posey, and game photographs signed by Bob Gibson, Ken Regan, and Nolan Ryan: these valuable sports memorabilia items will be auctioned via eBay starting October 12. Proceeds of the auction will benefit the Touchton Clubhouse project at York College.

Caleb ’04 and Genevieve (Grosshuesch ’05) Elrod, owners of Gameday Connexion, donated the auction items as an exciting special gift to the Beyond 125 Alumni Campaign. With four physical stores in the Dallas area in addition to a webstore, Gameday Connexion is the premier sports memorabilia company in the Southwest. They specialize in sports autographs, custom framing, and athlete appearances.

The Elrods started Gameday Connexion seven years ago and have built it into a successful company from the ground up. “York College means a lot to me,” said Caleb. “Anytime I can do something to give back, I want to do what I can to help the college.” The Elrods also give back by serving as members of the President’s Council at York College.

Proceeds from the online memorabilia auction will go toward completing the Touchton Clubhouse, the new home of the nationally ranked Panther Baseball team. The clubhouse will be dedicated on October 22 at 2 p.m. The online auction will conclude at 11:59 p.m. on October 21 and the winners of the auction items will be recognized during the dedication event.
