![]() York College is pleased to announce the inductees of the 2015 Athletic Hall of Fame: multisport coach and player Paul Touchton ’61; basketball player Tyrone Grady ’02; and the coach and players of the 1990 men’s soccer team. These men will be inducted on Friday, October 23 at a luncheon event during Homecoming. As of July 1, Nebraska residents will have access to a refreshed lineup of 15 databases, including 13 new resources that have been added to expand access to a wide variety of information. With today's Internet cluttered with information, how do you select reliable sources? “Try NebraskAccess: your information connection across Nebraska,” recommends Ruth Carlock, Levitt Library director. Community residents looking for free resources to create a family history, establish a small business, learn about medical conditions, get homework help, find a good book or movie, plan for retirement, or research thousands of other topics will find dependable current information in NebraskAccess. ![]() Dr. Samuel Garner will join the YC community this fall, serving in the newly created position of director of spiritual development. YC President Steve Eckman is enthusiastic about the hire. “We have spent much time in prayer about this position and feel God's hand has guided us in this decision…Sam comes with a wealth of experience, but more importantly, a heart for bringing young men and women to a deeper relationship with Christ,” he said. Garner has served as the preaching minister at Lee Acres Church of Christ in Tupelo, Miss., since 2012. Prior to that, he spent six years in Windsor, Conn., as the preaching minister at the Connecticut Valley Church of Christ. While serving in Connecticut, Garner also helped to found the New England Church Growth Conference. |
