Jared Stark Named York College Vice President for Advancement

Jared Stark (‘01) will assume the role of vice president for advancement of York College on August 1. Stark has been serving as vice president for athletics and enrollment management since 2014.

"I am thrilled for Jared to move into this position and focus his energies on engaging a new generation of alumni along with many new friends for York College," President Sam Smith said. "His personal connection with so many alumni and friends combined with his deep passion for our mission will be a tremendous asset for years to come."

York College Partners with Creighton University to Offer 3+1 Nursing Program

Students at York College now have a pathway to complete a nursing degree in four years. York College and Creighton University are forming a 3+1 nursing partnership in which students complete three years as a YC student followed by a 12-month accelerated nursing program on the CHI Health St. Francis campus in Grand Island. The accelerated Creighton nursing program utilizes community-based education in a program that fills a need in many Nebraska communities.

Dean's List Announced for Spring 2021

York College announced the list of Dean's List scholars for the spring 2021 term. 134 students were recognized with this distinction.

To be named to the Dean’s List, students must carry 12 or more graded hours and achieve a semester grade point average of at least 3.75 with no incomplete grades and no grade below “C” for the semester.

Congratulations Graduates!

It was a beautiful spring morning on the York College campus as more than 70 students graduated during Saturday’s commencement ceremony. Held in the Campbell Student Activity Center, the seats and bleachers were filled with proud parents, excited family members, and eager graduates ready to receive their degrees. Several from the class of 2020 chose to walk across the stage and receive their diploma since they missed the opportunity last spring.
