It is all about preparation! If you pack nice solid bags or boxes your move in will be a complete, and utter breeze. If you roll all of your clothes up before you pack them, you optimize the amount of space you have. I know people usually drive to school on move in day, but for those that fly this is essential to getting the job done efficiently. Passengers are often only allowed to take two bags on the plane.
You do not have to bring your whole closet to school. I promise you will only wear 1/3 of your clothes while in college. Mostly because laundry is hard to keep up with, but also because people just like to be comfy. So that might entail of wearing the same hoodie for 3 months straight. Because as we all know hoodies stay “clean” for a while lol. But, seriously as much as you think you’ll want to look fabulous everyday dressed in your best, YC is definitely no fashion show. And the same goes for shoes. Yes, it's lovely to have variety but I personally wear my black Nike slides like every day. They’re Black and White so they match everything, and they are so darn comfortable. I take comfort over fashion any day. If you have a roommate it is imperative that you guys take the time to communicate on appliances you guys will bring; fridge, microwave, etc. Also, you guys might want a theme or to coordinate your room in some way. Or if you are a extreme gamer like most college guys I know here you guys might to put together a sweet setup! Don’t hesitate to ask for help! More often than not here at YC you’ll be offered help before you even have to ask. That’s just how we roll! I Hope I was at the very least some help. Trello V up 'n Out. Peace, love and all good things! Comments are closed.
