I would have to say the best study spots for me are the quiet places. I’m the type of person who is easily distracted so I need a place where I can sit by myself and concentrate. Options that I enjoy are the Levitt Academic Resource Center aka The Library and The Spot.
Another quiet place on campus is the SUCCESS Center. It’s in Middlebrook and it’s a place for people to go if they need just a mellow scene but you can also go to get tutoring help in a specific subject that you are struggling with. Now, something different about YC tutors is that they are students who have taken the course before and know exactly what you are going through and they are absolutely free to you. YC does not require you to pay for tutoring sessions like other school’s which is pretty cool. The SUCCESS Center hours are not as extended as other places on campus. I believe they close sooner (maybe 5?) compared to other places on campus. Another thing to keep in mind is, are you the type of person that enjoys some noise and chatter while doing your homework? If so, The Spot is a great option. Friend groups go and spend their time on the couches or around the tables but the building (McGehee) does have an upstairs where most people go for some quiet study time too. The Spot also offers different kinds of seating to comfort you as you study, along with some board games to help you have a little fun. There’s even a coffee shop for your craving needs. It also stays open later than the library which helps those who still need some quiet study time.
