Dr. Clark Roush serves as special assistant to the provost and directs York University's
Master of Arts in Education program. In these roles, he supports academic initiatives,
faculty development, and student success while helping prepare the next generation
of educators. He also serves as a certified spiritual director, offering confidential
spiritual direction to students, faculty, and staff.
A member of the York University community since 1986, Dr. Roush previously served
for nearly four decades as a professor of music, conductor of University Singers,
chair of the Music Department, and endowed chair for the performing arts. An accomplished
educator and musician, he has been a guest conductor, clinician, adjudicator, and
presenter throughout the region. His choirs have performed with distinguished organizations
and at numerous state music conferences, and he has contributed to the field through
published journal articles, textbook reviews, and professional leadership.
