York College recently announced a gift from a group of anonymous alumni and friends who joined together to create a $62,000 challenge for scholarships. With gratitude and excitement, York College today announced that another donor has stepped forward to double that amount.

The additional gift of $62,000 was made by Jerry and Kay Henry, friends of York College.

The new gift creates a 2-to-1 match opportunity: now through the end of the fiscal year (June 30), all gifts for scholarships will be double matched by these gifts, up to $124,000.

Gifts during this period will go to support scholarships for students who will be on campus for the fall 2018 semester.

“We are so grateful for the alumni and friends who have made these gifts and challenged others to join them,” said President Steve Eckman. “I’m excited about this special scholarship focus, as it is an opportunity to have an immediate impact on York College students. We are in the business of transforming lives through Christ-centered education, but we can’t accomplish that mission without donors who come alongside our students with scholarships. The future of York College is in the hands of those who are willing to give in this way.”
