York College Announcement Request Form
Please fill out completely and submit before 8:30am the day you want the announcement posted or read. Oral announcements must be submitted the day before to be approved.

If you are approved to give your announcement orally, please observe the following guidelines:

  1. Only those people who were cleared to make the announcement may go on stage to make the announcement. No more than 2 people may get up to make an announcement without prior approval. (The names of those doing the announcement should be included in the transcript of the announcement.)

  2. Oral announcements are to be brief. Please limit your announcement to no more than 1 minute.

  3. The chapel officiate reserves the right to cancel your oral announcement in the interest of time. In such cases, either your announcement will simply be read as it is written or left out altogether.

  4. Oral announcements will be limited to 3 per day. If more than 3 are requested, Campus Life reserves the right to decide which 3 will be made that day based on urgency and relevance.

  5. Only the announcement cleared should be given – violators will be banned from making chapel announcements for the remainder of the academic year, no exceptions.

  6. Generally, only 1 oral announcement per event will be allowed.

   

If you are giving an oral announcement, be sure to print a copy of the confirmation form to use at Chapel to present your announcement.
