​Many York College Panther Athletes had a great season in the classroom and on the field of competition. Eleven have received end of season honors for their work in the 2015-16 school year. 

Softball

Brianna Perez(SR/Maddera, Calif). earned Second Team All-American honors from the NAIA. She is the first player in the program to earn the award. Along with being named KCAC First Team as an outfielder she was also named National Fastpitch Coaches' Association NAIA All-American Second Team. She is the first York College player to ever earn the NFCA award. Full Article

Corrine Pearl (SR/Ridgecrest. Calif.) and Courtney Lovelace (JR/Lake Elsinore, Calif.) each were honored for their hard work in the classroom as they garnered Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes recognition. Pearl graduated this spring with a degree in biology while Lovelace is currently majoring in psychology heading into her senior year. Full Article

Brittany Rayls was KCAC First Team catcher and National Fastpitch Coaches Association NAIA All-Region First Team. She finished the season second on the team in batting average and RBI. She was second in runs scored and third in total hits. Defensively she was phenomenal as she only committed five errors in 207 chances. She had a fielding percentage of .976, which was highest of all infielders. Full Article

Baseball

Michael Johnson (SR/Union City, Calif) earned second team All-American honors from NAIA after a stellar senior season in which he led the Panthers to a program-record 46-win season. He was also the first in the program to be named Academic All-American by The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Full Article

Billy Johnson (JR/Oakland, Calif) was named Honorable Mention for All-American honors from NAIA.
D.J. Drews (JR/Fremont, Neb), PJ Matha (SR/Las Vegas, NV), and Josh Burgener (SR/Gering, Neb) were honored for their hard work in the classroom as they garnered Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes recognition. Full Article

Lindsay Jones (SR/Windsor, Colo) and Jaimee Stutz (SR/Bloomington, Calif) each earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition. Both Jones and Stutz graduated this spring, with degrees in biology and psychology, respectively. Full Article
