Baseball in Championship Game

Panthers to play for MCAC championship tomorrow

Thomas Korn pitched a complete game Thursday afternoon against Bellevue University to put the Panthers in the MCAC championship game Friday. York will play the winner of the Bellevue and Oklahoma Wesleyan game that's being played this afternoon. Korn, a 6'5" junior from Altadena, Calif., threw 112 pitches and gave up only 5 hits including a single home run in the sixth inning.

York had nine hits on the day with catcher Gene Felise, senior from San Leandro, Calif., leading all batters, going 3 for 3. York is now 38 and 17 on the year and will get an automatic berth into the opening round of the NAIA Championships if they win the conference tournament. The championship game will be played at noon on Friday at Bellevue's Westgate Field.

Go Panthers!
