It's a Small, Small World

Christian Chronicle points to an unseen connection

The Christian Chronicle's April issue recently arrived in the mail and featured two legendary coaches, Colis Campbell and Dale Neal, on the same page (pg. 23), same right-hand column, with seemingly only a small connection between the two. It was not lost on a lot of us Yorkies, including Steve Hawley (YC '75) whose comments sent to the Chronicle were featured in their online version. Click here for the whole story.

Coach Neal's Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions' season came to an abrupt and unexpected end on Wednesday afternoon as FHU lost in double-overtime to Avila (Mo.) University, 84-82, in the opening round of the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championships. The Lions (28-5) were a No. 1 seed in tournament and No. 3 in the coaches poll. This was their 16th consecutive appearance in the national tournament.
