Spring Enrollment Increase

Numbers Reach Ten Year High

York College President Steve Eckman announced last week that the spring semester enrollment numbers have increased. “We are pleased that our enrollment for the spring is at a 10 year high. That coupled with a 95% retention rate of students eligible to return from the fall, leaves us in a strong position for the year.” This past fall semester York College enjoyed a 12% increase in student enrollment from the previous year.

"Retention is high because excitement is high about York College,” stated Jared Stark, York College Director of Athletics and Retention.  “We have an exciting student experience, excellent teaching, competitive sports programs and a faculty and staff that walk side by side with students every step of their collegiate careers to guide and mentor them in faith development and academic rigor.”

The mission of York College is to transform lives through Christ-centered education and to equip students for lifelong service to God, family and society. “Our faculty and staff consistently show the spirit of sacrifice and service that has characterized York College for so many years,” Eckman added. “Our mission is to transform lives and by doing so, we are also transforming our college.”
