YC student to present free concert

York College senior Nathan Towell will present a concert of classical favorites and jazz standards as his senior recital on Saturday, December 3. All are invited to attend this free event in the Prayer Chapel at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will consist of an eclectic mix of styles, cultures, and time periods, says Towell, who will perform both Mozart and Sinatra and many others in between. Kay Magner will accompany Towell on the piano.

Earlier this year, Towell was one of the hosts for the York College Songfest production. He has also sung and guest conducted with the York College Concert choir, as well as performed with the York College Celebration Singers.

Towell is a music education and vocal music performance major from Ogallala, Neb. He will graduate from York College in the spring of 2012 after completing his student teaching.
