Houston Returns to YC
YC welcomes new director of alumni and communication
York College is pleased to announce the recent addition of Chrystal Houston (’03) as the director of alumni and communication.
This is a return to campus for Houston, who was a student at York College from 1999 to 2003 and then served as coordinator of special events and projects at YC from 2003 to 2007. Most recently, Houston was the digital marketing coordinator for BryanLGH Health System in Lincoln, Neb. Prior to that, she worked for several years as a writer and editor for Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Brent Magner, vice president for advancement said of Houston's appointment with the college, "Chrystal brings an excellent collection of talents and experience to this position that will benefit our alumni, the York community and the many other constituencies who love the college. Her career is marked by great service, innovation and attention to detail. Those qualities will continue to build a great connection with alumni and friends."
“I am very pleased to be back at York College,” says Houston. “This is a great community, and the campus is growing in so many exciting ways. It is wonderful to be able to be back, working for an organization that I am as passionate about as I am YC.”

Houston’s husband, Mark (’06) is an adjunct English instructor at York College. They have two children, Lily (5) and Fiona (2). Their third child is due in December.
