It's the Beatles!

Celebration Singers Perform Beatles' Tribute

It was standing room only in Gurganus Hall Friday night as the York College Celebration Singers harmonized in a revival of classic Beatles' music of the 1960s. For three nights, the sixteen-member group entertained audiences with their version of the British Invasion, singing the tried and true hits as well as a few of those less known.

Good Day Sunshine, And I Love Her, and Let It Be were among the songs sung by the entire Singers ensemble as well as several medleys of Beatles favorites. Solo performances of number one hits such as Penny Lane, Nowhere Man, Yesterday, and The Long and Winding Road showcased seven of YC's top performers. Also highlighted was the accoustic guitar playing of Brad Brunson to Renee Willard's Blackbird and the trio performance of It Won't Be Long by Kaylee Danielson, Jamie Mix, and Bethany Saylor.

Under the direction of Dr. Clark Roush and assisted by David Young, senior Vocal Music Education major, the Celebration Singers once again produced a great show to close out the year.
