Legacy Alumni Reunion

July 15-17, 2008

It has been three years since the Legacy Alumni (pre-1956) were together on the YC Campus.  Please make plans to come this summer!!

July 15  Registration 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 Reminiscing during the day

 On your own for meals or gather some friends together

July 16  Free Day to spend time with friends 

 Breakfast and lunch on your own

 Golf in the afternoon if you are interested

 6:00 p.m. Homecoming Banquet at MackeyCenter

July 17  Breakfast Buffet at MackeyCenter

 10:00 a.m. Chapel

 Lunch on your own

 Farewells or hang around for more visiting

Plan to join the circle of friends and acquaintances on the great campus of old YC.  You will recognize some old buildings, and be able to relax in the Reunion Room of the MackeyCenter which is accessible with an elevator.  You will recognize the architecture reminiscent of Old Main as you drive up to the Center.

If you have any memorabilia, or know of someone who does, and would be willing to donate to the College archives, please bring them.  Since most items were moved to WestmarCollege at the time of the merger, we would like to center as much history that we can at YorkCollege.  Even if you don’t want to donate them just yet, bring them along and we will all remember together.

Would you please write one thing about yourself - either YC days or since - that we can use for an autograph hunt?  We have many interesting things to share about our lives.  Our professions are so varied and have carried us into so many interesting situations and geographic locations.  Let’s have fun with this; it could be as simple as an unusual hobby.  If you want to share with the group at some time, please tell us what you have to present and when you would like to do it.  If you have any suggestions, please pass them on to us.  Send this to Gary and Maxine Bracken; 3505 Columbine Ct.; Evans, CO 80620; or email:  bracken@greeleynet.com ; phone #: 970-339-3631. 

If you don't have a registration form, please call the YC alumni office at (402) 363-5664 and return that as soon as possible.  A more detailed schedule will be available at registration. 

Open the trunk and get out those sweaters, pictures, etc, and let’s have another grand time together.  We are family from a unique time in history.  Let’s enjoy each other again.  It would be fun if you brought a snack from your area of the country to share.  Please share this information with friends as our mailing list is not complete.  See you there!
