Students perform well at NATS Competition

York College music students participated for the first time in the state voice competition of the National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS) in Hastings, Nebraska, on October 5th. Dr. Clark Roush, YC Choral Director and Music Department Chair, and Mrs. Adrienne Dickson, YC Adjunct Music Professor, sponsored the trip.

Zach Rush, senior vocal music education major from York, placed second in the state in his division, and sophomore elementary education major Renee Willard placed third in the state in her division . YC music students will be traveling to Colorado for district competition with the opportunity as members of NATS to later compete at the national level.
