Our church is in a great location in Fresno, CA with the mountains of Sierra Summit and Yosemite Park as the backdrop. The church is a very friendly, family oriented church that loves to give and help the youth program. We have 3 full time paid staff ministers and a school attached to our church. We have 8 elders that lead the flock here and deacons that help guide the ministry leaders. We have multiple ministries to get involved with as well. We have a relaxed, comfortable environment for Sunday morning church and we have a great Wednesday night time as well.

Our student ministries is very new to many ideas. I just started working here in December and we have good things set in motion. We are called the FEARLESS STUDENT MINISTRIES based out of Ephesians 6.19-20(NIV). Our Sunday morning class time is from 10:30-11:30. This time is called "Refuge". You will be asked to teach a few of the Sunday mornings in Refuge, or lead singing if that is your gift, or be there to help out on special Sundays. You will be expected to be at every Sunday morning Refuge unless we are all out of town on a trip. Refuge is when the most visitors and friends will be at church.

We have Sunday evening devotionals called S.T.A.N.D. which take place between 6:00-7:30 pm in different homes. The idea of this time is to eat a meal together, swim, hang out, and then do some serious Bible study, q and a time, etc. This is another event in which lots of kids will bring their friends and visitors since it is very layed back and relaxed, so plan on helping lead some of the S.T.A.N.D.s and being there to mingle with the kids and visitors.

Our Wednesday night takes place at the church in the Youth Room and is called re-LOAD. This is our core kids mainly that will come to this and we have a class where you will help lead some for me for about 20-25 minutes, then we break into small groups for the reminder of class time to talk more in depth about the topic, then we come together again to wrap it up. You will be expected to help out on the re-LOADs weekly in some way.

Also included besides the basic Sunday and Wednesday church is many events and trips, and camps! You will be expected to participate in EVERY event, trip, and camp unless otherwise told you don't have to. The trips include a day trip to Magic Mountain Six Flags, 2 different trips to Pismo Beach to hang out for the day, and 2 Guy/Gal Days where the ladies and guys are separated and YOU will decide what we do on those two days or where we go! Some of the events in town include a HUGE summer kickoff/BBQ/SWIM PARTY in June, 2 Baseball game nights with our Triple A Baseball team in town called the FRESNO GRIZZLIES (San Fran Giants AAA Team), and other events that y'all plan such as concerts, hockey games, whatever! We do go to Summer Camp with about 10-15 other churches in Idlyewild, CA called SoCal TEEN CAMP. This camp rocks and you will be expected to help alot on this trip with the kids! It will be a great week and lots of fun, if you make it fun! Lots of interns from other churches will be there to to help out, but mainly a week for you to just sit back and really bond with the kids!

Also, when you first get here in May, the first weekend in town, you will be expected to go on the Intern/Youth Minister Thursday-Saturday retreat at Shaver Lake (BEAUTIFUL PLACE).
During the week, you will be asked to hang out with kids as much as possible and help me with what i need help with on upcoming trips, events, etc.
