Adams Land & Cattle Company, a progressive operation located in Broken Bow, Nebraska, seeks a dedicated and task oriented employee to fill a Relational Database Programming position in our IT Department. The Programmer’s role is to develop, install and maintain relational databases designed to support business needs.   This position is a hands on role that will require performing all aspects of database management.

This position will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining all aspects (data design, data access, database tools, database performance and reliability) of ALCC’s relational database systems
• Analyze business data needs, develop logical and physical data models and communicate functional capabilities to business leads
• Building database tools in .Net, Java Script, XML or other scripting languages
• Coordinate development environment testing to ensure smooth transitions of new code between development and production

Requirements for this position include:

• Experience with development and administration in a SQL Server environment.
• Experience with ODBC and developing Crystal Reports
• Knowledge of HTML, ASP.Net, Java and other web development languages preferred
• Experience with Unix, Windows 2000 / 2003, XP and Linux operating systems preferred
• Understanding of and experience with a product development life cycle including requirements, development, testing and implementation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work either independently or in a team environment
