POSITION: Program Director-Omaha Child Welfare Services
(full-time 37.5 hours per week)

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Accountability for multiple program area(s). Education and experience are program specific. Decision making, problem solving, and highly developed interpersonal/public speaking skills are critical. Training in supervision and management is required.
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in human service related filed required; Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
- 5 Years experience in Child Welfare Services, Residential/Day Services
- Supervision experience required
- Valid Driver’s License/ acceptable driving recor
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- * Oversees day-to-day management of all aspects of child welfare services in the Omaha area (Children’s Emergency Shelter and Family Support Worker services) including facility, budget and personnel management, program development and implementation.
- * Arranges for administrative support and emergency assistance for program staff to include direct service coverage and transportation as needed (24 hour care).
- * Develops, updates and follows policies, procedures, program objectives and requirements for all assigned programs. Abides by and ensures all staff are informed of and follow program specific and Agency policies and procedures.
- * Develops a process for quality assurance and creates the necessary monitoring functions to ensure that program quality and integrity is being maintained.
- * Completes necessary reports and collects data consistent with contract requirements, and serves as a liaison with Nebraska Health and Human Services and other referral sources.
- * Responsible for monitoring and reconciling outstanding account receivables for services rendered in programs.
- Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, staff, referral sources and visitors of the Agency. Provides positive leadership, modeling and training for all staff as well as ongoing development for staff.
- Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
- * Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling, attendance, hiring, deadlines, and responding to program/client/staff issues.
- Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
- Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media
- Is knowledgeable in child and adolescent development as well as behavior management programming.
- Performs other program related duties as assigned.
