POSITION         Director of Quality Improvement and Central Intake

                            (full-time 37.5 hours/week)

 

LOCATION:         Heartland Family Service

                          Omaha, NE  68105

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  Accountability for major program areas and supervision of program personnel, including other supervisors, begins at this level.  Education and experience are program specific.  Decision making, problem solving and highly developed interpersonal/public speaking/training skills are critical.  Training in supervision and management is required.

 

PREFERRED  MINIMUM  QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefer a Masters Degree in Public Administration, Business or Related Field
  • 2 yrs Experience working with Human Service Programs
  • 2 yrs Management or Supervisory experience
  • Data Management Experience (SPSS, ECHO, Access)
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinates the overall Continuous Quality Improvement  process for all programs in the agency.  This includes providing direction and technical assistance to quality improvement teams, ensuring appropriate outcome measures are in place for each program, and ensuring systems are in place for data collection and data analysis related to quality assurance. 
  • Is responsible for ensuring the agency is in compliance with quality assurance standards established by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Children and Families (COA). 
  • Provides overall coordination of Central Intake.  This includes management of crisis calls to ensure that clients are being served and agency programs are being promoted.
  • Supervises the Lead Intake Specialist in all aspects of her/his job.
  • Assists Program Directors in best practice research to assist with program improvement and planning.
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of agency-wide staff training. 
  • Conducts training sessions for staff. 
  • Assists in the preparation of management reports as needed by programs.
  • Serves as HIPAA Privacy Officer and addresses all related concerns and facilitates the Service Delivery Contract Compliance Committee (SDCCC).
  • Responsible for the agency-wide critical incident reporting process and facilitates the Internal Care Monitoring Quality Improvement Team .
  • Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training   opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
