Position:Director of Institutional

              Research(Professional/Managerial Level II)

General Description: 

Responsible for designing, organizing, and directing a comprehensive institutional research and effectiveness program.  Maintains and disseminates institutional effectiveness data and information in compliance with applicable regulations. Performs analyses of information about the College, its programs, services, and students to provide reliable guidance to college administration on the effectiveness of the institution and on future strategic directions and planning through data collection and analysis, information management, and identification of trends impacting the College. Some travel required.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in discipline related to institutional research (such as statistics, mathematics, social sciences, or education) required.  Master’s degree preferred.  Course work must include statistics, research design/analysis, or other job related areas.

Experience:

Three years of related experience, preferably in institutional research and evaluation or educational planning and reporting, preferred. Community college experience also preferred. 

Skills:     

Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills required. Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.  Strong computer skills, including knowledge of database construction and management, spreadsheets, and statistical packages. Attention to detail and accuracy of information reported essential. Ability to write highly professional reports and business communications. Ability to manage multiple projects, facilitate group meetings, coordinate projects, and meet concurrent deadlines.

Salary and Benifits:

Salary is based on education and experience within the existing range ($40-45,000) plus approved fringe benefits allowed all full-time college staff which include BlueCross/BlueShield family health & dental insurance; life insurance; long-term disability insurance; TIAA-CREF 403(b) retirement plan; Section 125-flexible benefit plan; Tuition remission; EAP; paid holidays, vacation and sick leave.
