Fine Arts & Literary OrganizationsYork College offers many ways to become involved from the moment you step on campus. If you are talented vocally, you may want to visit Gurganus Hall that houses our practice and production facilities for the York College Concert Choir and the new "swing choir ensemble" name Celebration Singers. Also, housed in Gurganus Hall is the well-loved Theatre Department that is home to the Traveling Children's Theatre (student actors perform for elementary schools across the state), a Fall and Spring production, and Student-Directed One-Act plays. If you love theatre, but are looking for something with a spiritual application, Soul Concern may be what you are looking for. Soul Concern is known to bring short, impacting skits that bring the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Soul Concern uses humor, physical stunts, and serious messages to portray Biblical truths and help promote York College to prospective students. If writing is a favorite past-time, you may be interested in the York College Panther Press. Panther Press writers will have an opportunity to hon their skills as reporters while using the medium of an on-line newspaper. |
