Goalkeeper Kaitlin Loney named MCAC Defensive POW 10/8/07

The Lady Panthers are looking to build upon last year's 4-13-1 record. The Panthers finished 5th in the MCAC last year and hope to improve on that this year and make the conference tournament. The team lost many key players but return two key seniors to a young Panther squad. Mary Reynolds is coming into her fourth year with the program and looking to be a strong leader offensively. Lauren Sinnott will be a key asset to the defense and be a vocal leader in the backfield. Other key returners are Zeruiah Montgomery, Kaitlin Loney, Keri Bornschlegel, and Jen McKenzie. Coach Hinton is very excited about having this core of girls return saying, "We lost some good players but the ones we have coming back are very dedicated and determined to make this year even better. I am looking forward to having the girls back on campus and having this core of girls be strong leaders to our incoming freshman." Coach Hinton has eight sophomores returning along with nine freshmen joining the Panthers this fall.

The Lady Panthers begin practice on August 13th with their first scrimmage August 18th against the University of South Dakota.
