Jenny Anderson Named Next York College Volleyball Coach

York College Athletic Director Jared Stark announced today that Jenny Anderson will be joining our coaching staff to fulfill the responsibilities of head volleyball coach. Coach Anderson is currently a high school and club volleyball coach at Forney High School in Forney, TX. She brings with her, her husband, Ross Anderson and two young boys (Jackson, 2.5 years old & Sam, 8 months old.)

Coaching Career:
Heritage Hall HS Head Asst. (’06), 4A State Champions; Edmond Memorial HS Head Asst. (’07-’09), 6A State Champions (’07,’09); North Forney HS Head Coach (’10 - '11). Club Volleyball: Oklahoma Charge (’02-’07); Oklahoma Peak (’08-’10). 3 National Tournaments and 1 other Post Season tournament.

Playing Career:
Along with nearly a decade of coaching experience she enjoyed a stellar collegiate career playing for 1 year at Harding University before transferring to the University of Central Oklahoma where she set records as a libero for career digs and single season digs. At the University of Central Oklahoma she was named All-Conference in ’04-’05 as well as being named Lone Star Conference Libero of Year in 2005 and named All-Region HM (’05).

Aside from having been an excellent player and coach I am most excited about the woman of faith Jenny Anderson is. Jenny and her husband have been involved in their church teaching bible classes for both youth and married couples. I have no doubt that God led us to a person who has a passionate and sincere faith who will impact our team spiritually and athletically. Jenny and her family plan to move to York in March. She brings with her, her husband, Ross Anderson and two young boys (Jackson, 2.5 years old & Sam, 8 months old.)
