Academic Services

York College offers its students many services to help them succeed while they are students.

  • Tutoring: Peer tutors who havea firm understanding in all fields will be available for personal instruction free of charge. Also, our faculty members coomunicate an open-door policy that makes them available for mentorship and course assistance. These tools are available for any student to utilize-- if you are serious about succeeding, you can find help here.
  • Special Population Services: York recognizes that not all students learn the same way or possess the same skills. If you have self-identified a learning disability, Special Populations is available to incorporate assistance or special accomodations into your collegiate experience in order for you to be successful.
  • Cornhusker Center for Human Development: Every York College student has access to free counseling while they attend YC. Certified professionals are available to consult with students who struggle with behavioral and developmental disabilities to ensure that each student is coping well with change and making the most of their York College experience.
  • Career Center: As students near graduation from college, the YC career center can be a useful tool. Job postings, resume review, and seminars are available to help make the transition from student to professional be successful and rewarding.
