Dual Degree in Engineering - Advising

After completing the course work at YC, the application process to the engineering department at the partner school is streamlined. A liaison advisor at YC and at partner colleges will assist you to assure that you complete proper prerequisites for the various types of engineering programs. You will work closely with your advisor to be sure that you complete the necessary classwork at YC so that you are able to complete the program in the promised time frame.

The 3/2 program is designed for a smooth and easy transition between schools. If you have completed the proper courses at YC and your GPA is above a certain level, all you will need is a letter of recommendation from your YC advisor and a simple application.

Dr. Terence Kite, professor of physics, directs the program at York College and is the student advisor. Dr. Kite worked on such a program at Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. for many years.
