A Word from Students and Alumni

I'm so excited that YC is about to start a Chemistry program! God is so good! The Lord has blessed Holly and me continuously since we left YC. I feel that the critical thinking I developed while at YC has allowed me to move forward in my field at much faster speeds than I had anticipated. In addition, the Spiritual strength and growth I obtained while at YC has helped me to be a man with wisdom, pursuing excellence in order that it would be Christ-glorifying instead of self-glorifying.

-- Dr. Aaron Fletcher, Class of 2002

The York College math department definitely helped me prepare for graduate school in Public Policy at Pepperdine University. Getting a degree in Mathematics has given me a huge advantage in graduate school. In some of my classes we are using mathematical tools that I learned in Calculus III and Statistics at YC. All fields are relying more and more on sophisticated mathematical tools. I would encourage anyone who is considering graduate school to seriously consider getting a degree in Mathematics at York College.
-- Matt Turvey, Class of 2006

York College gave me the educational and spiritual tools to be successful in medical school and residency. Learning to balance athletics and academics at York helped prepare me for the rigors of medical school and residency. Also, the lifelong friends that I made while at YC were a source of support and encouragement during my medical training.
-- Dr. Scott Abraham, Class of 1999

York’s science department is fantastic! The faculty are so dedicated and teach beyond expectations. It’s hard work, but their classes are fun, informative, and challenging.
-- Crystal (Milota) Stoll, Class of  2005

The professors at York have established an anastomosis between a competitive academic curriculum and a spiritually enriching experience. I’ll always remember my instructors as my teachers, my friends, and my siblings in Christ who spurred me on to become a more complete man for the King.
-- Dr. Jordan Sikes, Class of  2005

York may not have 400-seat lecture halls or five-story libraries, but a student’s education consists of so much more than books and PowerPoints. I have come across so many professors and lecturers, and I am always impressed with the dedication York’s faculty has for the preparation of intelligent minds, and most importantly, intelligent hearts.
-- Steve Meyer, Class of  2004
