POSITION DESCRIPTION
York College is seeking applicants for the position of Head Women’s Volleyball Coach to begin recruiting for the 2012-2013 academic year. York College competes at the NAIA Division II level and is a member of Midlands Collegiate Athletics Conference (MCAC). While the College will accept applicants regardless of gender or ethnicity, the College prefers applicants from the Church of Christ, its supporting faith tradition. The Coach answers directly to the athletic director of the college.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred).
• A firm commitment to the mission of York College
• A Christian Character displayed by:

1. Positive interaction with students, especially student athletes.
2. Christian attitude and behavior displayed during practice and competition.
3. Representation of Christian principles toward campus constituents; including faculty, staff, students, administration and board.
4. The ability to make a positive representation on behalf of the College and the athletic program in the local community of York.

• Experience in coaching Volleyball, preferably at the college level.
• Proven ability to provide spiritual influence on student athletes.
• The ability to recruit student athletes to compete during the 2012-2013 academic year.
• The ability to maintain a roster of 15 - 20
• The ability to work within a budget outlined by the athletic department.

SALARY / BENEFITS
Commensurate with experience.
