Biology Faculty Position

FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION FOR BIOLOGY

EFFECTIVE DATE:              August 19, 2013 

START DATE PREFERRED:  August 1, 2013 but negotiable based on availability.

SALARY:   Position is full-time and salary is commensurate with education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:   Must be able to teach a variety of lower- and upper-division courses in biology including Anatomy and Physiology, Cell Biology, Micro Biology.   A doctorate (ABD) is preferred; a master’s degree is required.  All candidates must be active members of the churches of Christ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Provide up to 27 hours of classroom instruction per academic year in various biology classes.
• Participate in departmental assessment.
• Serve on campus wide committees as assigned.
• Serve on department/division committees as assigned.
• Maintain office hours.
• Serve as an academic advisor
